Against the documents it cites
When a figure points to a filing, a results release or a call transcript, Velydian opens it and checks the figure, the period and whether it is adjusted or reported.
For investment research and asset management
Velydian checks each figure, comparison and quoted statement in a research note, pitch book or investor letter against the filings, transcripts and studies it relies on.

Each one with the claim, the passage Velydian reads, and the verdict. Examples for illustration.

Not another fact checker
Velydian checks the figures. It also weighs what a note does with them: the reason it gives and how strongly it states the case. A number can be right and the sentence around it can still mislead the committee.
“New products drove margin expansion to 24%, management said.”Needs RevisionSource: the results release and call transcript the note cites. Example for illustration.
Figures, periods, ratios and quotations, checked against the filing or transcript.
Does the release say 24% or 21%?
Whether a conclusion follows: adjusted read as reported, old guidance read as current.
Is this what management said drove it?
Whether the statement is as strong as its evidence, and what was left out.
Would the committee see the risk the company flagged?
How it works
PDF, Word, text or Markdown, or paste it in. Velydian finds each figure and statement and checks it in one of three ways.
When a figure points to a filing, a results release or a call transcript, Velydian opens it and checks the figure, the period and whether it is adjusted or reported.
Velydian searches company reports and filings published online, official statistics and the wider web, keeps the strongest sources and checks the figure against them.
Attach transcripts, data exports or data-room documents, and every statement is checked against them. You see the price before it starts.
Three layers of checking
Figures that drift, periods that shift, a basis quietly changed.
Adjusted earnings per share presented as reported.
Quotes the transcript does not contain, selective citation, and what was left out.
The bull case is cited; the risk factor in the same filing is not.
When a figure rests on coverage, Velydian looks for the company’s own document.
A figure from a news story is flagged, with the company’s filing offered instead.
One verdict per claim
The filing or transcript checked backs the figure as written.
Close, but a digit, the period or the basis (adjusted or reported) does not match.
The documents checked do not back the figure, or say something different.
No document could be read or found that settles it, for example data you did not export and attach.
Open any verdict to see the passage and the reasoning behind it. Correct a line or swap a source and it is checked again. Velydian weighs the evidence; the analyst decides what to change.

Three places. The sources your document cites; sources Velydian finds on official websites, research databases and the wider web for claims without a citation; or your own files, if you attach them.
When you run a check, your document’s text is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and AI services in Switzerland and the EU. To find evidence, short search queries built from your claims are sent to web and scholarly search services. Your document’s content and results are deleted automatically about 24 hours after your check; source links and summary data are kept.
